Here are some examples of what you could be doing:
  • Providing exceptional personal care services to elderly and disabled clients, all within the comfort of their own homes.
  • Assisting clients with their daily activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and using the restroom.
  • Remind the clients to take their medications as directed and that their medical needs are met based on their care plans.
  • Helping out with light housekeeping tasks, preparing meals, and even doing grocery shopping.
  • Offering companionship and engaging in meaningful conversations to brighten the clients' days.
  • Providing transportation for clients to medical appointments, errands, and social outings.

Here are the key qualifications needed:
  • At least 6 months of previous caregiving or related experience. 
  • Having a caring, empathetic, and respectful attitude towards clients and their families is a must.
  • Good communication skills are important, and being a good listener is just as crucial.
  • Being reliable, punctual, and having a strong sense of responsibility are qualities they value.
  • A valid or registered Home Care Aide (HCA) license, recent TB test, and CPR certification are necessary for the role.
  • It's great if you have a driver's license and a reliable vehicle, but it's not a strict requirement.
  • You need to be at least 18 years old to apply.
